We were recently appointed to undertake the extensive internal and external refurbishment works at Block W, Newham College. Externally, over twenty aluminium windows were replaced with Comar Windows, and the three roof areas of the Block were renewed with a Langley Felt System (with a total roof area of 1900m2). Internally, the block was completed stripped, including the removal of load bearing and non-load bearing partitions, alongside the installation of new steelwork. The M&E services were removed, designed and renewed in their entirety. The Block was re-modelled and refurbished to form over thirty classrooms and offices, together with a Green Energy Room and Gas Workshop. To finalise the project, FD30 door sets, and glazed partitions were installed, together with new suspended ceilings, prior to a complete replaster and redecoration of the Block, new toilet installations and new carpet and vinyl floor coverings.
